GIF Giver

Effective July 17, 2026

Privacy, without the fine-print fog.

GIF Giver is designed to collect as little personal information as possible. There is no GIF Giver account, no advertising, no analytics SDK, and no developer-operated database of your personal GIF library.

Your personal library

Your favorites, recents, collections, and content-rating preference are stored on your devices and may sync privately through Apple's iCloud key-value storage when iCloud is enabled. This data is associated with your Apple Account and is not available to GIF Giver's developer.

Search requests

When you browse or search, GIF Giver sends the search term, pagination information, and selected content rating over HTTPS to the GIF Giver API proxy. The proxy requests results from GIPHY and Klipy and returns them to the app. Provider API keys remain on the server. GIF Giver does not use search terms to create a profile, sell information, or target advertising.

Infrastructure

The API proxy is hosted by Cloudflare. Standard infrastructure logs may temporarily include technical information such as an IP address, request time, and error details for security and reliability. GIF Giver does not combine this information with an account or personal library.

Third-party services

Those services process information under their own privacy policies.

Children and content controls

GIF Giver does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Search is family-safe by default with a maximum PG-13 rating. A user can change the content setting on their own device.

Data deletion

Because GIF Giver has no user account or developer-held personal library, there is no server account to delete. You can remove local app data by deleting the app and manage synced app data through your Apple Account and iCloud settings.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will be updated. New collection or tracking will not be introduced silently.
